Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV. She worked later as morning news anchor at WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
